In most cases our halyard exits are fitted to the sides of the mast so they can either lead aft via blocks on the heel or can lead to winch pads and or cleats. With this type of exit two different type chaffe pate are used, a pressed stainless type or a moulded delrin type.
Halyard aft
Leading from halyard exits cuts into the side of the mast section the halyards can be turned in virtually any direction via blocks fitted to the heel. From the block on the heel the halyard can be lead via organisers back to the cockpit
Clutch pads
Similar to winch pads halyard rope clutches can be fitted between the halyard exit and the winch pad. The halyard can be seized with the clutch and so still leave the winch free for another job.
Cleats
Aluminium cleats of various sizes can be fitted to take the halyard. Cleat sizes are 100mm, 120mm, 160mm and 200mm |
