Spreaders
Sailspar has been developing a new light weight range of catamaran fittings.
The spreader system to fit the Sparcraft F32 mast section and is adjustable to three positions. The most aft position allows the back of the spreaders to be 32mm behind the back of the mast while the forward position allows the spreaders to be 5mm behind the back edge. The weight of the spreader assembly is less than 100 grammes.
Lightweight hound fittings, internal diamond tangs and alloy spanners are all part of this new range of Catamaran parts.
Spinnaker Pole
Spinnaker poles made from 1.5" 16swg (38mm x 1.5mm) anodised black to 25 microns. Outboard end machined from aliminium rod and from anodised black. Button for outboard spans location. Centre reinforcer made from 1.75" 10 swg (45mm x 3mm). Inboard end nylon 66 rod with 6mm threaded rod pin. Slot for outhaul exit lengths up to 3.6m. When ordering please advise us on over all pole length, positioning of reinforcer and if you want the exit slot to port or starboard (reinforcer position is where bridal wires line up with spinnaker pole).
Spinnaker chute
Spinnaker chute made from 1" tube made into an elipse machined with groove and entry to take spinnaker sock, welded to 1.75" tube will fit standard size of 38mm or 40mm please advice us on the outside diameter of your spinnaker pole. Chute inside diameter: 210mm x 187mm
Spinnaker sock
Made from black trampoline material with bolt rope sewn in for attachment to chute, three velcro ties to attach sock to pole. Stainless steel inboard ring sewn in, sock reinfored at bridal and beam attachment point. webs for chute beam attachment and eyelet for snuffer line. |

A Spitfire diamound attachment were both wires are attached to a single bottlescrew for single tension adjustment point. Notice the simple halyard ring used on most catamaran, it tends to be preferncial as the load is spread through the mast and not the halyard. This means that you don't risk stretching your halyard
